Shirley Gladys Nakyejwe
A young innovation driven lady who aims at creating impactful change and development in the society. She has a lot of passion for e-services and applied Information and Computing Technologies (ICTs) and accordingly ensures channeling that same energy to the youth by encouraging positive transformation and creative thinking towards community development.
She has got a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a Master's Degree in ICT Management, Policy and Architectural Design with which she has continuously motivated others to do more than they originally intended by empowering them with skills and knowledge in the areas of applied ICTs. She is reliable and hardworking with a practical hands-on approach in finding ICT solutions to community problems that improve efficiency and effectiveness in business growth.
Shirley has got more than 6 years working experience in a number of fields including IT and project administration with special skills in project tracking, budgeting, proposal writing, report writing and presentation. Shirley currently works with the College of Computing and Information Sciences at Makerere University as the Research Grants Officer, a role in which she supports a number of research teams in concept development and as well guides them towards submission of complete and successful ICT project proposals to different funding agencies. Shirley is also working as the Project Administrator on the Training for Sustainable Spatially Enabled E-Services Delivery in Uganda (TSSEED) project.
